The Secret No One Has Told You to Accomplish Any Goal

Hello Level Uppers! I have a special one for you today and it’s special because I found this while cleaning out my Google Drive. This was a blog post I wrote a while ago and it was actually named “The Secret No One Has Told You To Lose Weight (Or Accomplish Any Goal), but I am no longer a personal trainer who writes specifically about losing weight or fitness – but I do write about goals! These ideas still hold true today! Hope you enjoy!

Have you ever wanted something so bad but you’re afraid the work is going to be too hard or too much? Have you ever tried some different techniques to get to your goal, but gave up because it was taking too long or wasn’t working like you thought it would? Are you always looking for shorter ways to get to where you want to be? Be more efficient (get the amount of success you want, with the amount of work that it would usually take you to get a smaller amount of success)? Well I have something for you!!!

Great…now I have your attention. This is your wake up call. NOTHING that is worth working for will EVER be EASY to get. Now, even though my text might seem otherwise, I’m not yelling at you. You have been programmed to think this way. To want and get something as instant as possible. This comes from the age we are living in – I get it. But do you wonder why only 1% of American citizens have over 50% of the wealth? And the other 99% of the people are living average or less than average lives? Because of work. Now, stay with me. I promise I will give you the secret, because there is one!!

The secret isn’t in supplements or money or opportunities or ANY of those things outside of YOURSELF. The secret is in THE WILL TO WIN. How bad do you want to achieve your goal? If you wanted it as bad as you thought, you would have it already! I can take a guess that right now you’re saying to yourself you want to reach your goal 100%! Am I right? I mean who is going to admit – nah I only really want to lose 50 pounds like 80%. BUT you haven’t take the action that SHOWS you want your goal 100%. “

Here are FOUR WAYS to help you get 100% with achieving your goals. 

1. Decide you must have it. Whatever you want – DECIDE that you’re going to do WHATEVER IT TAKES to achieve it. If you settle and say “well I need and want to lose 50 pounds, but if I lose 10 then that’s good enough”. NO! If you want to lose 50 pounds then go lose 50 pounds!!! If you want to make your own business then GO DO IT. Nothing or nobody is stopping you BUT yourself! 

2. Trust that it’s available to you. You HAVE to believe that you can lose 50 pounds, build your own business, etc. You can’t sit around and think “Well that person can lose 50 pounds because they have the money to buy healthy food and a gym membership” or “That person has rich parents and can get any money they need to build a business”. Do you know that some of the MOST successful people in the world came from NOTHING?! They came from homelessness, debt, abandonment, bankruptcy, drug addictions, etc. You can’t tell me that those people can achieve GREATNESS, but you just can’t. Do me and yourself a favor and erase the word CAN’T from your vocabulary. Trust that whatever you want, you can have. 

3. Do everything you can to figure out a way to make it happen. Now that you MUST have it and you believe you can, this is when you take HUGE ACTION! Now this doesn’t mean that you have to change your daily routine by 180 degrees, or invest thousands of dollars for your business to work; it just means that you have to make small changes to your life and stay consistent with those changes. If you’re looking to lose weight, start by eating a healthy breakfast, or going to the gym. If you don’t know what to eat or what to do at the gym – GET HELP! Do your research! There are a TON of articles of what is healthy, what are some good exercises, steps to get healthier, etc. that there is NO REASON to not do anything because you don’t know how. If you’re looking to build your business, start making a business plan. Do you want to market online? Will social media help? Do you need to make some connections in your area or maybe attend some networking events to find a mentor? Don’t be afraid to take steps because you haven’t built a business before – you HAVE to take action to make progress. 

4. Trust that how it’s going to happen will be revealed. You have exhausted your ideas on how you are making your dreams and goals happen. Your job now, is to be consistent and patient. Imagine if you kept up with your new changes every day for a week, don’t see a ton of results or the results you were looking for and then give up. You think you’re ever going to achieve your goal if you quit? A little progress is better than NO PROGRESS (or regress) at all!  NOW imagine if you kept up your new changes every day for a week, then for a month, and next thing you know three months down the road you are the closest you’ve ever been to your goal. You’ve lost 5 or 10 pounds before, but you’ve never lost 50 pounds so you don’t think you know how! You’ve never built a business before so how are you supposed to know how to make a huge successful company?! You will be AMAZED at the opportunities that present themselves when you are continuously trying to improve yourself. Like I mentioned before, and I can’t say this enough, STAY CONSISTENT AND PATIENT. Be grateful for everything you have at the moment and know that you will get further if you stay with it. 

Tired of trying something and giving up? Talk is cheap. Action is actually worth something. Drop the excuses and take responsibility for your life. No one is going to hold your hand and do the things you need to do for you. Do something you love and make yourself proud doing it.
