Level Up! With Shay

I’ll set the scene – it’s 9:00pm on a Thursday in Los Angeles, CA, with a strong smell of Mary Jane in the air – beautiful. You turn the corner into the front lot at The Hollywood Improv and spot circles of friends passing around a joint and all mesmerized and entertained by a woman shoving a large knife down her throat – this is planned by the way. You get in line, slip your phone in a case (no pictures please) and stroll through the doors into a dark room. To the left of the lit up stage full of art, there’s a band and a DJ playing groovy bass guitar heavy beats, you can spot bags of weed and goody giveaways for later on and possibly even the comedians from the star studded line up – possibly Tiffany Haddish, Neal Brennan, the creator and voices of Pinky and the Brain; whoever is there, it’s going to be a good time! After the sold out show audience has been seated, the full bearded, curly headed host takes the stage…I present to you, the host of Glazed…Mike Glazer.

Once Los Angeles fully opens back up after quarantine, you HAVE to go see Glazed. In addition to the crazy good production and entertainment value, you may also get a donut at the end of the show! After going to this show twice, I was so excited to get to know Mike more. He not only produces an awesome show because he wants his guests to have fun, but he wants to have a lot of fun too! If you watch more of his comedy and follow his projects – like the series High Guys on YouTube where he meets a sloth, a monkey, and Snoop Dogg, just to name a few guests – you can see the fun too. As much fun as Mike has on the screen and on the stage, there is tremendous work and time being put in to make all of it happen.

We talk about the grind, visualization and believing, and how Mike gets people on his side – not by talking about it, but by showing! Can’t wait for you to hear some of his crazy stories and the lessons he’s learned along the way!
