Blake Stargel: Motivation Through Defining What You DON’T Want

Written by:

Imagine this – you’re out in beautiful Santa Barbara, CA right out of high school – FREEDOM! The scenery is unreal, beaches, palm trees, you’re partying with your friends all the time, life is GOOD. But wait, homework is due? Tests need to be taken? And studied for?? Uh oh. FAIL. This is far from a fantasy, but it was definitely real life for Blake Stargel. After failing out of college within the first semester, he had to move back home to Omaha, Nebraska. Blake says Omaha is great – it has one of the world’s best zoos, the host of the NCAA Men’s World Series, home of the Reuben sandwich (he didn’t mention that one, I just looked it up) – but it’s no SoCal. He was determined and now on a mission to make it back out there.

Fast forward to today, Blake is now a residential, luxury, and investment realtor at Compass in West Hollywood, CA. He works closely in collaboration with a top-producing agent, Steve Sanders. In this episode we talk about what he’s learned from Steve and how he has implemented those same habits and disciplines into his own deals. He certainly hustles to be available for his clients 24/7 and help in their decision making for one of the most important moments of their lives. His biggest challenge is his anxiety, but with his type of work, you have to be extremely patient and do all you can in the moment to make sure the deals that go on for months at a time can be taken care of when ready, so he shares the best way for him to overcome the anxiousness.

Blake is so down to earth and knowledgeable and I know when I am ready to buy a home, or two that I will be going his way! This is not an ad! Just a preference! It doesn’t matter if you’re interested in real estate or not, he talks about LIFE! I hope you all enjoy!
